China has a visa-free policy (valid until November 30, 2024, Beijing Time) for visitors from 12 certain countries, and a long time visa-free policy for another 22 countries, as listed in the table below.

Holders of ordinary passports from the above-mentioned countries travelling to China for the purposes of trade, tourism, family visit and transit are exempt from visa requirements for a maximum period of 15 or 30 days. Holders of ordinary passports from the above-mentioned countries travelling to China for any other reason or for a long stay, as well as holders of service passports must always apply for a visa before travelling to China.
